These terms ("Terms") govern your use of DiskInsight, its documentation and website ("DiskInsight", "we", "us" or "our"), provided by the DiskInsight team. By downloading or using DiskInsight you agree to these Terms.

1. What you're buying

DiskInsight has two editions:

DiskInsight Free — free forever. Scan and analyze any drive or folder with all nine visualizers, search, find large files, filters, the live system monitor and the Quick Wins report. No license key required.
DiskInsight Pro — a one-time purchase (currently $9.99 at launch price) that unlocks cleanup features on one Mac with a lifetime license key. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

2. License

A DiskInsight Pro license grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use one copy of the software. It is licensed to one Mac at a time. Moving it to a replacement Mac of yours is allowed — email support@diskinsight.com and we'll transfer it. You may not sell, redistribute, sublicense or offer the license or the software for download by others.

3. What you may not do

Copy, modify or create derivative works of DiskInsight except as permitted by law.
Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law despite this limitation.
Resell, redistribute or share a license key beyond the single personal Mac it's authorized for.

4. Privacy

DiskInsight is 100% local. It makes no network requests, collects no telemetry and nothing about your files ever leaves your Mac. See our privacy policy for the full detail.

5. Payments and refunds

Payments are handled by DodoPayments. The DiskInsight Pro license is a one-time payment; there are no auto-renewals. We offer a 15-day money-back guarantee — see the refund policy for how it works.

6. Updates

Every 1.x update of DiskInsight is included with a DiskInsight Pro license. If a future major version is released as a paid upgrade, it is optional — your existing license continues to work.

7. No warranties

DiskInsight is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Cleanup is always staged to the macOS Trash and nothing is deleted automatically — you decide what to empty — but you are responsible for managing your own files and backups.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiskInsight and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the software. The total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the software.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which you reside, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
