The analyzer is free forever — no trial, no timer, no watermark. Scan any drive or folder and use all nine visualizers, search, find large files, filter by type, run the live monitor and read the Quick Wins report. A license is only needed for the cleanup actions (Pro).
What’s the catch?
None on the free tier: no account, no ads, no telemetry, no cloud. The Free tier is paid for by Pro licenses — people who want one-click cleanup pay once, everyone else analyzes forever at $0.
How is this different from other "free" disk analyzers?
Most free tools are trials, watermarked, or sell your data. DiskInsight is a native macOS app with no time limit, no watermark and zero network calls. You can audit that claim: the privacy policy documents exactly what runs where.
